Girl Stuff - (Part 2) THE TEA PARTY

After our super-fun sleepover and a hearty breakfast, we headed back to the Walford home to prepare for the main attraction {insert royal fanfare here} the Birthday Tea at the Ballantyne Hotel. Not only were we going to enjoy an elegant tea at one of the most luxurious hotels in Charlotte, but first the girls got to dress as princesses!
A rare glimpse behind the scenes of what makes a little girl into royalty.
Bella decided that a makeup artist (mom) was overrated and did her own lip gloss:)

*Sigh* In 10 more years this will be a prom picture.
The precious birthday girl with her mom!

Sweet Princess Sophie
The older girls really did look the part of young princesses, I guess that is because their daddies keep telling them that they are:)
Oh what to order, tea, hot cocoa, chocolate milk?
Not surprisingly, the little ladies ordered the chocolate specialties while us more mature ladies indulged in the extensive selection of exotic teas.

One tray held cucumber, salmon, chicken salad and and vegetable sandwiches while the other had PB&J. Guess which one went first.
Little girls and their secrets:)
Ahhh, the best part...presents!
And cake.
My sweet little princess, so poised and well-mannered!
The birthday girl looking ever lovely and majestic:)
What a wonderful party full of fabulous memories! I know my girls will be talking a long time about becoming a princess for the day, even though I know in my heart they will always be little princesses, the daughters of Royalty, their heavenly father The King of Kings.
Know what, that goes for us too!
