Labor Day, Family Day

This Labor Day we were invited to my aunt and uncle's house near Clemson, SC for a cookout. They have lots of land, lots of toys and lots of animals, so for our kids it is paradise. Although the drive was a bit long, the kids napped and entertained each other quite well. Because our sweet dog Hoban finally lost his long battle with diabetes, we were invited to bring Heidi along, which worked out perfectly. If the kids enjoyed themselves, then Heidi was in doggy heaven. When we first got there, my Aunt Barb and cousin Teresa, who both work at a daycare center, had arranged not one, but two toy areas. One with all girl stuff, a huge dollhouse and teddy bears and another boy area with action heroes and all the vehicle accessories. Micah liked the firetruck the best. They also have lots of fun animals, five dogs, three ferrets, a bunny and two cats. There were also a few goats that came around later that afternoon, that was Bella's favorite. Calla loved riding on my uncle's four wheeler and racing around their property and Noah's favorite was the ferrets, he loves ferrets. Even Heidi had fun running around the fully fenced acres and acres of land with her new doggy pals. We had such a great visit, I only wish we could see everyone more often.

Sounds like a perfect day! There's nothing better than giving the kids lots of room to roam & run!
