September 22nd at 2:48 pm Nehemiah Andrew joined our family. He weighed 7 pounds and 12 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. After battling with Gestational Diabetes for 6 weeks, the doctors felt that inducing before my September 27th due date was in my best interest, so in so respects this birth was a bit more planned. After laboring for a few hours and sleeping for a few more, Nehemiah came very easily with very little effort. We are so blessed to welcome this perfect gift from God and cannot wait to see every first all over again.
The kids were so excited to meet Nehemiah, who they have nicknamed Nemo! Who gets to hold him first is still a constant battle. While we are still taking it easy, this transition has been pretty smooth so far. We are getting back into the swing of things a little more every day.
