Party...Double Time!

The first weekend in November we celebrated Micah and Nehemiah's birthday with a double party.  Nehemiah's actual birthday was 9/22 (just a couple of weeks after Lyla was born) and I was not quite in the party planning mode.  Micah's actual birthday was 11/29 (one week after Thanksgiving) and is always coupled with Thanksgiving dinner and therefore a bit overlooked.  So this year in an effort to combine twice the fun with half the effort more efficiency, we threw them an Angry Birds party together.

All of the boys favorite foods were there, including some of Elijah's favorites:)

 

 

 And of course some old and new favorite games as well.  After football, daddy showed the boys Angry Bird bowling with green "pig" cups and a big red "bird" ball.

 

Finally, the showstopper, a giant pumpkin pinata (keep in mind we were just a couple days out from Halloween).  The pinata was a hit (he, he) until we just couldn't break it open!  After each child got four turns to smack it, with no cracks in sight...

we brought in the big guns...

and got the job done!!

 

Then it was time for cupcakes,

playing a little Angry Birds on tv,

and presents!

What a wonderful double birthday party spent with lots and lots of good friends!  We may have to try this again:)
