This year seemed to be even more jam-packed than most. With virtually every weekend booked, we stayed busy day and night. After many years of avoiding sleepovers (mainly because it is hard enough to get six kids to sleep, but adding an extra girl or boy at bedtime always seemed frightening to me) this year we embraced it.
Our first sleepover was with a couple of playgroup friends, Hannah and Sophie. I think the trick to any good party is to keep them busy:)
First we made fruit kabobs...
Followed by manicures...
A little dress-up...
Everyone got in on the dress-up:)
And then we popped a little popcorn and watched a movie
Before drifting off to sleep (well eventually)!
The next weekend we tackled Chuck E Cheese's.
Always a crowd-pleaser!
With such a successful slumber party the previous weekend, Calla invited her friend over for another sleepover, this time though the girls did their own nails (I'm still not sure my table will recover!)
The rest of the month was filled with birthday parties, Claire had a lovely tea.
And dinner with friends, lots of friends!
And one of the year's highlights, our Sunday School lake day hosted by the Howards.
Between the boats and the tubes and the trampoline and the food, there is truly something for everyone.
And lastly, we wrapped up the month with Bella's Princess Ballet Camp.
To say she enjoyed it is an understatement. I think she has found her calling:)
