On the fourteenth of August, many, many, many years ago I married my best friend, corny I know, but true none the less. While things have not always gone perfectly, we have always gone through it together and tried to keep our realationship focused on Christ. And I can honestly say, now that I look back, we are so much stronger for it. OK, OK enough of the sappy stuff.
This year to commemorate the past eleven years, Jeff took me to the beautiful Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens. The conservatory and grounds were so lovely and peaceful, did I say peaceful? Oh yeah, my wonderful mother came over for the day and watched all the kids from morning to dinnertime so that we could have a day to ourselves. Yes, that is a gift in itself.
We took the two pictures (above) and through the magic of Photoshop (see photo below) it looks like we got a picture together, gotta love technology!
The gardens were hosting an interesting exhibit of handmade chairs by southern artists. We had so much fun posing and trying out all the unique pieces of art.
After the gardens we went to a fantastic lunch and then shopping! Once we finally made it home (and back to reality) we had a quick dinner and put the kids to bed just in time to catch a movie (gotta love Redbox). Sounds like the perfect anniversary to me!
