Happy Easter

The Easter fun began this year with our Second Annual Family and Friends Egg Hunt. We stayed up late on the Friday before Palm Sunday and stuffed 90 eggs in anticipation of the egg hunt and potluck the next day. Saturday turned out to be beautiful and we enjoyed hunting lots of eggs and playing with our friends followed by a great dinner.
On Thursday, right before Spring Break started, Noah's Kindergarten class had an Easter egg hunt. Because I was very, very ill, Mom went in my place and took Bella and Micah to the festivities. Noah hunted eggs in his homemade basket while Bella and Micah played.
The following Saturday was super busy. It was Noah's 6th birthday, the NCAA Final Four, and Easter Bunny morning (in our home we celebrate the Easter Bunny bringing baskets and hiding eggs on the Saturday before Easter Sunday, this way, Easter Sunday is all about Christ's Resurrection from the cross). We started our morning searching for hidden eggs and baskets, then Noah got to open some birthday presents. Noah got a new Tennis Racket and a basketball hoop, which Jeff is still assembling. Then for lunch we stopped by Noah's favorite, McDonald's. Finally the day came to a close with all my boys on the couch watching the big games.
On Sunday morning we headed to church for the early service, not Sunrise Service, we aren't that good:) It was a beautiful service and one that really reminded us of the true reason we celebrate Easter morning, praise God for the Resurrection of His son! After church we drove over to Grandma and Grandpa's house for a family dinner with Aunt Linda and Uncle Bruce as well. We had lots of fun catching up and enjoying the sunshine.

Everything looks wonderful! I love the pics of all the kids with their bunny ears & Easter baskets, TOO cute! And what a SUPER idea to do the baskets on the Saturday before, I love that! I may be borrowing that for next year! Oh, and that first photo of Nehemiah is adorable!
