We ushered in summer with a family Memorial Day picnic. Right before we sat down to eat, it started to rain, but we got to play outside a bit before that happened.
Memorial Day gave us a great opportunity to enjoy our newly finished patio (before the rain of course). Jeff put in a lot of long hours getting the ground just right, but his hard work paid off. The patio looks great and we have doubled our patio space. Jeff has also been diligently working on getting grass to grow in our backyard. While we still have some bald spots, it is 90% done.
Finally, most of us got our summer haircuts. Calla loves to go short in the heat and Micah got his first haircut because his grows so fast. He still has his curls in the back though, I couldn't bear to cut them all off.

Now that summer is here, we are awaiting school being out, our Disney vacation and trips to the beach. So much stuff to blog about, maybe I will be able to keep up better this summer!

The patio & pergola look FANTASTIC! I know you are going to enjoy much time outside in the back yard this summer! Jeff did a great job!!
