Christmas/New Year "wrap-up"

Jeff has always had a soft spot in his heart for traditions and there is nothing more traditional than daddy reading "T'was The Night Before Christmas" on Christmas Eve!  We even set the timer in our quest for the perfect family picture.

Stockings hung by the chimney with care...

We will call this the calm before the storm!

Ahh, and here is the storm.  Soon everyone is awake, let the presents begin.

Calla reads the letter from Santa and he eludes to a secret stash of more presents.

Yep, it didn't take long to find that!

The adults in our family exchange handmade gifts, so this year I tried a Pinterest project or two as gifts.

Although it is incredibly hard to see, my cousin and his fiancĂ©e are planning an April wedding.  Her gift from us was a clear bulb filled with curled strips of their wedding invitation and their monogram with their upcoming wedding date on the outside.  It came out so cute and then I wrapped it up and forgot to take a picture:)

Lots of fun family chaos at Grandma and Grandpa's!

Soon it was New Year's Eve.  And we were able to spend the last few moments of 2012 the way we had enjoyed most of the year, surrounded by family and friends.

Happy 2013!
